The verdict is in from the doctors and surgery is definitely required to fix Andrea's knee. They have to reconstruct part of the knee as well as fix the Anterior Ligament (ACL). Andrea is not happy about it because surgery is scheduled her last week of school. She says the last week of school is all fun stuff. Oh well, I told her to get mad at the doppleganger that pushed her off the long-board and not me.
The docs all said that the first two weeks post-op are going to be the worst. Then she'll be on crutches for 4-6 weeks, be wearing a special brace for 4 months, and in physical therapy for 6 months. What a crappy way to start the summer break. She won't be able to go on the Martin's Cove Trek with the youth from the stake and she won't be able to go in the raft during our annual white water river rafting trip. (Hey Rainey, you said you thought it would be fun... well, we got a place for you now if you want to join us!)

Ouch! I am soooo sorry Andrea. That's gotta put a huge damper on your summer. Did you get a picture of the swollen knee? Is that weird that I want to see it? Anyway, good luck.
Yes, Sarah, it really weird that you want to see it. Thank goodness Meg showed us one not too bad. It still looked awfull.
Sorry about you vacation. Well, look on the bright side. You'll still be able to read 'Breaking Dawn' when it comes out in Aug 2nd. That's the only big thing I'm looking forward too... I guess it might not seem so exciting for you compared to all the other fun stuff you could've been doing. Sorry if I didn't help much. :(
